Was cutting & i felt like something was watching.
    Looked around & was startled,
25 yards away a moose was waiting for me to load & leave so it could start eating on fresh dropped tree tops:
Kept seeing mosse all day, different places , but where I'd dropped a tree

Early morning, flash went off, can see it in the eyes
Later came to get a load & one was there eating on the tree I just dropped.

Processing wood is fun, but having mountain views like that, along with hanging out with moose- really cool! Nice work!

You got the whole experience, wood, wildlife, and mud! Love your hauling rig. How much daylight do you get down to in winter?

Nice pics, nice job, nice country.
Maybe if you dropped the trees a couple days in advance the moose would do all the limbing for ya.

    Yea,
    The rut is finishing up.
Last year, mid Oct, I rattled & bull called by a fresh rub on a 5" spruce tree, when I came back to cut the next morning,
the tree had no limbs & was knocked over. Smell of a bull was strong.
I quit calling , I took the hint.
A Big bull said "this my area", looked over my shoulder often that day.
Never saw him & didn't want to.

Looks like you enjoyed the moose entertainment on these trips Dave. Man... when you said "Was cutting & i felt like something was watching."... I thought, I'd prolly have to clean my shorts before I'd even get turned around to look... do you carry a big canon on your hip while you're in bar country?
