    These pics may make some of you grown men cry....

    I had a brake pedal malfunction yesterday morning while backing down a ramp into a dock at a local beer distributor. The resulting mayhem is clearly visible.

    Now, the question is why does Kenworth use a throttle pedal that looks more at home in a d*mn Prius than a truck? Dunno but my size 13 got stuck between the Prius pedal and the brake pedal and all I could do was hang on!

    BTW your's truly cleaned up the mess and my blown out back payed the price and me, without my prescription meds, poured a whole bottle of Advil down the old gullet to try to kill the pain. A 22 hour workday didn't help much either... IMG_0296.JPG IMG_0298.JPG

    That sucks krooser. Been there, done that, in the warehouse no less, what seems a lifetime ago. Was the boss(es) cool w/ it? That's a lot of breakage. Anyways, chit happens and it's just beer, glad to read you weren't hurt.

    IMG_0295.JPG At least I had a better day than this guy... I got to the scene just after it happened yesterday morning three miles from work. Nobody hurt but two of the drivers are plenty sore this morning!

    Kinda tough to see but that's a quad axle dump truck laying sideways in the road... 15 yards of fresh asphalt on the road.

    When you're lugging cases for umpteen hours a day, it kinda puts things in perspective JT. And when I worked for the distributor (some 30 years ago now), fresh outta high school, my job was considered 'office', not union, but that didn't matter, when you got the call of a driver having a vehicle or delivery issue, you jumped in a truck and went to help out. Plenty of experience mopping spillage and stocking the breakage pallet.


    It must be something in the air or water - lots of folks driving crazy around here too, that is tough to see. Safe travels krooser.
