Felling and stacking today

    Bought a cord of ash, they came at 3 pm, then I had the pro take down the dead ash by the house, tree had a little lean toward the house and I was not comfortable doing it myself.
    100 bucks to drop it into the woods


    Got about half a cord of the ash stacked. Full cord of ash was $170

    That Ash will make some great firewood!! Better safe than sorry on ones that are leaning towards the house!

    It's good stuff too, nice and clean, split a few pieces and checked them MM reading 14 to 18%, and believe it, all of the splits are 17, 18 inches long, no recutting:thumbs:

    I thought it may have some rot and ants in the bottom but, it did not it was solid all the way through

    it had a crack up the side of it too, I was worried about but, found out it was only three eighths of an inch deep
