Get some sleep, you can eat at work if you're lucky. Beer can wait- never thought I'd ever say that, but I understand.

That's a tough choice that will be hard on you. I have watched my in-laws go through that with my wife's Grandmother and know how hard it can be. Prayers for you that you will have some peace in this situation.

There are many on this forum with the same (or worse) experiences. Just know that we know what you are going through. Give your all and best now, because once it's all over, there will be no regrets or "maybe I should've/could've" moments.
It is not a happy time and unfortunately, I don't know of any one situation like this that does improve. There may be moments where they are all right....try not to miss those moments.
As for ourselves, our lives were put on "hold" or "pause" for a number of years and neither of us resents being placed into that pattern. I wouldn't change what we went through but I would change what the victim went through in a heartbeat!

Cool. What do the chicks cost when you get them? Do you process them or have someone do it for you?

We pay about $1.50 - $1.75 for the chick and about $2.70 to have them processed at a FDA inspected facility. We're not saving any money over what you buy in the store for "regular" chicken, but its good to know where your food comes from. No hormones, antibiotics, etc. They taste better too.

IS, Take care man. You are doing the right thing. I'm sure it's a hard decision but in my book, you are correct. He put everyone in danger.
Hopefully you can get back to some normalcy once he is being cared for by the pros. Remember to thank your wife too :)
    Don't be a stranger either!

I like that. My wife wants to start raising chickens as well. Not only do I have to build a barn, I have to build a chicken coop at some point.:picard:If I can figure out a way to afford it :faint:I may pay the Amish to build both!

Chicken tractors are the way to go. Look into them before you get too carried away.

My IS heats my home, my family is going though the same thing. It sure is hard and it's gonna get worse. It's hard to see someone who used to be so full of life and active doing nothing and slowly getting worse every day.

I missed the opportunity to burn in the rain last night. I have three more large piles to get rid of and am waiting until I can burn when there is a good, steady down pour. I woke up to it raining last night in the middle of the night. Needless to say I went back to sleep. I don't see any forecast for 90 or 100 % chance of rain in the future. Oh well. It will still be there when it finally gets here. Hopefully the timing will be right, and I won't be at work or in bed!:picard:

Send some rain here. We've had 0.04" so far in October. Supposed to get another 0.08" this weekend.
