Actually; I had 2 floods this year, one in April, and one in July. The pix are the one are from July, as the one in April was mostly after the sun went down, and none of my pix turned out well enough for y'all to see anything.

Me and my neighbors close to me have been noticing that in the the last couple years that the township has been repairing streets, ditches and some storm sewers in and around our neighborhood. There was no "rhyme or reason" at least to our thinking on why they were working where they were over this time; as there'd never been any flooding in these areas where they were working for at least as long as any of us had lived there. I'm here 12 years..................and have neighbors living here 20+ years. But it came to a head this Spring, after we'd flooded in April.......................This April flood I can understand kinda................as nothing had greened up yet to hold and catch the water that came down. Anyhow; shortly after April, they (the township) started to replace culver pipes and repair ditches and storms sewers all UPHILL FROM US!!!!!! Guess what happened come July.........................a 3 hour gully washer with brand new pipe and ditches uphill from us................

These are just the pix after the rain stopped. Mine is the humble, dumpy grey house with the trailer in the drive.

These 1st 3 pix are from the street in front of my neighbors house to the North. I'm NW of my house standing the crown of the street.

These 3 pix are looking at my house and side lot from the SW.............gradually turning North

This picture is from the near the SE corner of my yard. I'm close to 100ft. from the center of the street. My little flag/rose garden has granite landscape stones vertically in the ground and they are above grade 5-7"!!!

In another thread, I'll post what happened after this..........................stay tuned

And I would start a civil law suit if they didn't do something about it.

And now we know just why you have the chunk of firewood jammed into your toilet! Did it help prevent the flood waters from coming in?
