If any of you woodenheads are in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, you are welcome to join us for a bonfire gathering of friends this Saturday, October 24. There will be all types there; wooden heads, cyclists, runners, river rats, just all round gold people. Bring a folding chair, the adult beverage of your choice and some kind of munchie to share with others. And if you want bring a truckload of bonfire fuel that cool too! Also, you can kayak or canoe from our place out into the Ohio river so boats are welcome as well, just be sure to bring lights and PFD's. The fun begins about 7pm. Costumes and/or clothing optional. Message me for details.
Dang, my wife has her c-section scheduled to deliver our little one on the 22nd. Thanks for the invite, but I don't think I'll be able to make it.
If you weren't about 3 hours from my house I would be there in a heartbeat but a 6 hour round trip in one night is a bit far.
Wish I could come, sounds like my kind of fire party, but wife has us scheduled to go on a beerfest cruise on B&B riverboats that night. Thanks for the invite.
Thanks! I have a stepdaughter, but she was already 4 when I met my wife. So this is my first newborn experience!
How was the bonfire last night? The rain stopped up this way about 10:00, so it was still a good night for a fire.
We had a great party but no fire as we had rain off and on until about 11pm. A friend of ours works for a major drink company that sponsored a tailgate party for a college football game. She brought leftovers which includes a keg of beer, 10 lbs. of pulled pork, 10 lbs. bbg chicken along with potato salad, corm on tbe cob and coleslaw. Enough food for an army! We will reschedule for first or second Saturday in November. Watch for a post announcing the day and time. It may be on a shorter notice so we can better judge the weather.
Sounds good and hopefully, we'll be able to make it. We'll have to leave early or bring a tent though, bonfires usually cause us to drink a lot of beer for some inexplainable reason.
