Free fire wood! Trying to get rid of it because I don't have much use of it now that the weather is bad. Call or text for more details! Thanks

He's just being a smart a@@ since people wait for bad weather before looking for wood. On top of that you see all the "wanted free firewood" posts this time of year.

I'm betting you are correct. Nobody stacks their wood that neat and gives it away.

maybe.. just maybe.. he only has outside fire pit. got a neighbor like that he got a chainsaw and a nice outside fire pit every spring he cleans up storm damage and has drinks by his little fire. winter hits and he brings me left over and puts on my deck usually a wheelbarrow full. He will not burn in house cause its too dirty. His house is immaculate. so I'd call!

Here, here. That is not my wife loading that wood but it is from our wood pile. Yup. Free wood. Her husband had back injury. What was I to do? Let them freeze or force them to buy propane? No. They are good people. In fact, the one and only time I got my saw stuck, I went to their place. He had just bought a new saw but was not home. She never hesitated though and I took it home. Made one cut and took it back...with a sharp chain too.

Indeed it is! We've been blessed by being ahead and have been able to help out several folks. Perhaps now it is going to be payback time if all works out next spring when the gang gets together at out place.

I have only been burning for a couple of years, but have already found this to be a major advantage to being ahead. You never know when you will have the opportunity to help someone else out.

Those stacks look like they might even be separated by species. Might be a prank? A post for free wood with someones number they don't like. I bet that phone rang more than a couple of times this time of year.

Now that's more like it, maybe 50 or so calls a day without doubt. I once ran an ad on Craigslist for a free swing set at 7:30 a.m. (it was in great shape) the grandchildren out grew it and in less then 30 minutes I had to come back inside and take the ad off at least 20 calls. If someone had told me 30 years ago the power of Craigslist for selling things I would have bet against them.
