As soon as this section is cribbed and done, I'm out of stacking set-up, no pallets but I'm curious what you guys think of my new rig...this 15' stack has an air-channel between the pipes, new set-up is 12" off ground image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

I think I know where to source a few of those but not sure I could physically move them

Yes basod 39' long, had my cousin with his Kubota come help put them in place on whatever those half-cylinders of concrete are designed for-you can see bolt holes, they are used I think to encase pipe joints,,,havent hit the wood calculator yet but I plan to drive in metal fence posts to the outside of the rails (that one must have been a curve section) and keep them on 12" center and that will adequately support 16" splits--prob go 5' high as solid as this set-up should be once the weight of wood hits it?

At 5' high, it will hold 2.03 cord, that will make me a total of 11 cord and I have the wood on the ground=locust, ash, white oak, cherry and elm

Thanks Eric VW, just working with what I have,,,that whole slope faces south, that was just late in the day...and the prevailing wind is from the west...the most recent stack rig as I said is 12" off the ground as well...

Moderating, any idea what's going on with Ashwatcher & his ...... issues?
No, seriously, any reason he would have to work the tagging thing harder than his stacks?

Yeah Stinny, they were left here when I bought the property, which adjoined my family property since 1956, I've gleaned the standard length of RR rails are 39'-Like I said, just making use of what I have, and those concrete thingies...looks like they wrap a 6" pipe-I don't know the application for them, they are 40" long, dang it---just a lil short of enabling me to go 2 rows at my 16" cut length...
