Thats a cool little saw Dave. I have never had much luck with mac but then mine are always beat and bruised long before I get them lol. Hope it cleans up well!

My buddy had the 38, The Homedepot did honor his $$$ First thing "I" made sure of is he mixed his gas/oil correctly, and he did. :) Ironically, I saw a lot of those saws "reconditioned" … I wonder if they had an issue with them somewhere along the line?

Thanks Pete and it's super clean! I don't even think it was used. It's only starting with gas primed in the air cleaner and run for a few seconds then quit. Frankly, I was expecting much for $45.00! I've drank twice that much in one night :eek:o_O… In my better days   so, "IF" I get it running thats a plus!!! My wife things is "cute"…. so it'll be a shelf dweller for a bit.

I bought the "as is" saws off their site. I think all but two I got were brand new others had dust like they had one cut on them? I dont know if millineals are buying them to cut a tree limb that fell then returning them or what? I got one used chain but all the others I had had new chains. I think I got one that I could tell had a used bar all others had paint on the rails. One saw would not let the chain spin. It had a high spot on the brake band that I just ground flat. It then let the clutch drum soon and the chain brake then functioned properly again.

Some of the "as is reconditioned" saws were brand new. Not sure what was going on there? Some were in plain cardboard boxes some in used factory boxes and some boxes looked untouched?
