Been using a, Arrow T50 forever Thinking about getting a new Manual gun . Are the newer ones better and easier on the hands ? What ya got ? How do ya like it?
I use the same, it works well enough. I had a Harbor Freight unit for a while, it was painful to use, and I threw it away. Greg
I don't know how they are now but years ago I had an electric and the solenoid or whatever that thing is that shoots the staple burned up real quick and never bought another.
I found the T50 difficult, I ended up using the impact carpet stapler more often when hubby was not around.
I've got a T50 also. IF the thing ever breaks (which isn't likely) I'll probably get one of those "forward action" staple guns. I've used one before stapling insulation, and they are a lot more ergonomic to use for any length of time.
I highly recommend thumbtacks for hanging targets. A fun way to end a session is trying to bust all the thumbtacks you used!
That's a hammer tacker. Very much needed for roofing tar or visqueen, Sheet goods where accuracy in unimportant. For precision jobs like insulation or where you don't have clearance to swing the tool, I also own the T50 arrow classic. Just replaced it this weekend in fact.
Is there a good cordless stapler on the market? I bought a forward action one and in less than a year of light use it fell apart so I have stuck to t50.
Cordless stapler, hmm , Idk I was thinking the forward action might be better , reviews on them not great , people say some jam a lot or , fall apart
Just used my T-50 today to tack up some plastic in the shed to shield the wood from moisture. My problem is that I'm always misplacing the staples. I stand there and think, where did I use this thing last. Then I look in the gun and see about an inch of staples and think I better use these things sparingly. So I finish it up using like 10 staples. If I'd had my box of staples, I would have shot 50 staples into that chit.
Had a T50 and managed to break it while hanging insulation (last summer tore out all exterior walls and replaced all insulation). Got an Arrow T50TBN pro which was a bit easier on the hands with protection on the handle. I have really small hands, so any of them are tough for me to use.
