I locked the service door to my shop today for the first time in a LONG time. Good idea Dave cuz you know what happened with my shed
It sucks to have anything stolen and there's not much I dislike more than a thief. The amusing thing about all of this though, is that we all know how our stacks look and notice when even one log is out of place.
The reality of it is that if one becomes proactive in a physical fashion, you are now the perp. Something is really screwed up with the our society. I have had stuff ripped off from my shop on more than one occasion, even caught a couple of them -legally. While there is some satisfaction in that- it still does not fill the urge to clean up the gene pool.
Got a start on stacking today. Nice cool partly sunny day too. Ran into a few small roots, but not too bad.
Posts are 8' apart, and I'll be stacking to 5' high. Thinking I'll do another row in front of this. Trying to make room for the rest of the Oak to come up from the back. Plan to go back out after some soup and a sammich.
Also putting down those same posts as sleepers to stack on. I haven't stacked directly on the ground since the first year here.
So THAT'S where they are. Man, that would save some work, right there. Kinda like this...........http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Digger-...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01169GV2Y
