Because there next in my shoulder season rotation I did some research. Seems there scanning bio-plus out of ashburn georgia. And that plant claims to make peanut pellets for power plants and such and all other kinds of peanut hull stuff. The bag indicates nothing but material wood. Which peanut hulls can be considered even though technically not. Thoughts?. I sounds plausible to me
I tried a few bags last year and they weren't too bad IIRC. I also wouldn't be surprised if there were peanut shells in the fiber.
Gosh, That chit was like dirt in a bag for me. Hated emm really bad. Worst pellet I burned in 2013/14 winter. I wouldn't doubt they have some peanut hulks in their mix........ But can't confirm..... Things do change, They did sell off the residential mills and could be using the new owners(Therma Glo) to fill their bags now??? Also can't confirm.... Curious on what ya think of them.
IIRC there are 2 different varieties. The brown bag which is a blend and a yellow bag which was oak version. I've never seen the oak version, But heard it was pretty decent. The brown bag is most common in my area(sold at wally world-sams club-stop and shop) and it pretty ikky IMHO. Love to see them oak versions, But where they are sold has pretty crappy prices in my area.
We may push ya in front of it, But never under!! I'll post it if I ever find some. But like lmz28, I got a better shot at seeing a unicorn!
I bought some Oak version about 5 yrs ago from a Craigslist ad......they were very nice burning pellets.
