Cutting up storm damage trees. These are trees that blew over in the storms that caused all the flooding here in SC. This is just the first tree I will post pics of all the trees I cut due to this storm here in this thread. And I havent even got into the big stuff yet! I cut up and got all the easy stuff that the cherry pickers usually get first. Will come back later for the trunk. Most are too lazy or dont have a saw big enough to cut that part. Its probably 24"+ diameter. Just a couple big crotches to cut out. Easy to get except the fact its on the side of a highway so the truck sits on a big slant while loading and keeps me from being able to move however I want due to the curve.
Sitting in the yard. I have sadly made the decision to sell it. I have too many vehicles and it serves a duplicate and really in needed slot
Nice pics Clem. What kind of wood is that? Looks like a lot of work and a lot of wood, did you have any help?
It's nice to see a Chevy of that vintage without the wheel wells rusted out. Nice haul on the wood also.
There plenty of them rolling around like this. Many in better shape. Has some rust on the inner rockers from leaky windows or something but its still solid most places
Another tree from same storm, different place. Here is a monster white oak. (There is two white oaks here)Took forever to clear brush and cut the small stuff. Filled my k10 and an old square body f250. Didnt put a dent in these two trees. Still have 30ft of 24" trunk left to cut. And another. I am glad I swapped carbs and got the old 011 back running yesterday. I needed it to climb up the trunk and drop some of the over hanging limbs. That would of been kind of wild with a husky 372 or the ms650 and 25" bar!!
