don't worry about that bore cut , just make your regular back cut at the proper height

I like the head gear that guy was wearing in the vid; helmet, ear muffs, and full face shield all in one. Me wants!

I use the rubber plugs at the moment so I can wear my straw hat :D. Of course a straw hat won't protect your noggin from a tree limb.

A bore cut to set the perfect hinge freaked me out until I tried one. They really are as easy as they look in the Husky video. Just remember to start it with a pulling cut and let it work with you to draw the saw into the cut.

I am still too nervous to cut trees that large that you could do a bore cut; I let my friend cut down the big poplars that were dropped back in the early spring.

Are the wedges the guy used in the video expensive? I liked the use where he was cutting the trunk and use the wedge to open the cut and raise the trunk so he could finish the cut; that was neat.

Yup. Those wedges are cheap and you can get different sized ones too. You just can't hammer on them like you can a steel wedge but they work fine.
