    I know the mortar isn't pretty. And the block is all sorts of multicolored but the anchor plate is anchored down. The seams are all siliconed shut. First fire this evening. I know the manual says 250 then cold. But it's been holding 350 for the past 3 hours. Come on tomorrow morning so I can get the second firing underway.

    Still at 300 on 4 4"splits of cedar 4 hours later with the bypass wide open the entire time

    Hey I like the look of that stove - exactly same color as ours. Can't quite see in the pic, ash pan or not? Our burn-ins took a few more mild burns than I expected, but it got there. It's a pretty big heavy unit, ain't it?

    Really I don't recognize it.. Maybe because it's sideways? Must be hard to keep water in the pot!

    Black on black. Like a proper woodstove should be lol. We Are currently at 500 on burn 2. I can't smell so this is only a heart experience for me
