ahhh boloney...... :) Fresh cut and stacked wood always looks great, but we all know it's the seasoned gray and black dry crooked stacks that are the real treasure. I need to start posting pics of all my toppled over stacks..

On the way to my FIL's house this afternoon, drove past a stack of maybe 4 cords.... No top cover, soaking wet.... My wife refused to stop and let me have a talk with the folks.... They live about a mile from FIL, they know each other.
    I guess that's how that dude rolls:whistle:

That's funny. Sounds like a conversation my wife and I would have. Driving through the countryside we notice and analyze the different stacks, well as much as you can on a drive by anyway. If I was to slow down or pull over that would just be weird... wouldn't it?o_O

Completely normal... ;) We call this phenomenon, "firewood-necking". When you happen to see some nice looking stacks or a juicy pile of logs waiting to be chopped up :binoculars:, its best to pull over. You have to be careful - if you run over their mailbox, they're definitely not going to let you run chainsaws on their property...

Yup, running over the mailboxes would not be a smart thing to do and then try to talk to them about firewood, that wouldn't work.:picard::rofl: :smoke:

Happy Thanksgiving fellow canuck! Nice pic of the wood and pups! Were doing the turkey thing tomorrow and off to a corn maze in Alberta today. As is often the way in southern Alberta we are expecting gusts to 90 km an hour but at least its mild.

Loon, it appears the color and leaf drop is behind there too. Just starting to get leaves in the driveway now. Or should I say, finally getting some?!

OMG! This is all I have! Whatever am I gonna do now? Heating season his here and we have very little wood. However, I haven't yet noticed any of the locals cutting yet so there is still time to get ready for this winter.
