Edit: that is not quite what I wrote, it's another B-word (not beer!) that rhymes with pitching ...:picard:

Jim Croce. His death in a plane crash was one of the greatest rock and roll tragedies ever. :(

Between Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, and Cat Stevens that 70s folk rock style of music was unbeatable. those guys were not just propped up rock stars who sung other people's music, those guys were singer-songwriters and Their breed will probably never seen again in this day and age of Electronics and insta popstar just add computer music.

I mean Jim Croce and Nicki Minaj? there's no comparison. one was a true artist.... the other is a joke. :headbang:

Not to get overly philosophical about it guys; but, they say that we have progressed since the 1970s and I honestly have to ask, did we really progress? Or have we become a dumbed down society where pop stars are created with computers smoke and mirrors and good promoters, instead of actual artists being promoted. it's a sad thing to say dude, but it's the truth.

Food for thought on a chilly Friday night.:emb:

I'm a fan of Chapins myself. Not many people know all the good music he wrote and performed, just a couple songs they've heard on the radio. He was also one of the few artists that put his money where his mouth was. Agree with his politics and causes or not he gave a good portion of his wealth to them. Gotta give respect for that. Respect for what passes as artists these days is rare :)

Just stumbled upon this forum myself investigating muffler mods for my 550xp. Wasn't hard to figure out its a very friendly place with a sense of humor. So this is that other place the children of the children of the children will never be allowed to mention? Sometimes stumbling is good but it's only 7am. No sweet tea flavored vodka yet. Today's job is fixing the woman's running toilet,,,,,,,,,,,,,then a sweet tea. I think I left some Becks in her fridge,,,,,,,,maybe I'll pop one of those in honor of discovering the new world.
That caramel apple sounds like a winner too.

Are you really from Michigan? I am doubting it, cause you didn't say anything about Gordon Lightfoot and the SS Edmund Fitzgerald.
