Dropped to -9 last night, finally approaching 20 now. I haven't heard the furnace run since the middle of last night.

Ash and maple mix for me.

    Wood power!

Currently -18 C (0 F) due to drop down to -26 tonight. We have a foot and a half os snow on the ground, so it is a White Christmas for sure. Both stoves running with lots of Red Oak providing the heat. House sitting @ 74 right now. Merry Christmas to all, enjoy your holiday. May the New Year bring health and prosperity for you and yours!

It is now 0° on the back porch. I just chucked the boiler full of Ash, a couple pieces of Elm, and one Cherry. I can't even remember where that stringy elm came from. After I get through reading up on my alerts I am off to bed. I asked each one of the kids tonight, while saying good night to them, if they wanted to sleep in tomorrow. :zip:

LOL. I can't imagine a kid alive that would take you up on that tomorrow!

Heck I had to break down and give my wife a present to keep her content until tomorrow. She is worse then a kid!

-8 at about 6 this morning. Wood Gun snacking on Ash and a little Elm. It doesn't seem to get tired of eating the same thing over and over. Good boiler.

LOL Good point! I'll do that and give it a few handfuls of wood pellets! I tried that before on a thick bed of glowing hot coals and it really liked them!

Well it was zero on the back porch at about 6. The boiler is gobbling up more Ash and a little Cherry. Looks like we may get a little warm up today. Suppose to go up to about 30. That will seem like a really warm day now. Should be nice. Looks like even warmer, maybe 37 on Saturday. Yeah!
