IMHO, Nothing like having both or AKA options. With the price of oil today, I kind of wish I had that too.

If we ever move, I want Wood-Pellet with NG or oil. Never again would we consider an all electric dwelling!!

I have burned a wood stove my whole life. In the fall of 2008, oil prices were getting unreasonable so like many others, I bought the P68 to save a few long term bucks on heating costs. Ever since then, I have preferred the simplicity of burning pellets. Just fill the hopper and you are good to go for a long time. Over time, the wood stove took a back seat and began to see weekend only or freakishly cold weather use, until last winter. The ALU offered a wood stove trade-in program where you give up your old crusty wood stove and they give you $2K off a new pellet stove. That was when I got the P43. I still have a boatload of firewood hanging around, and an endless supply more if/when needed. When the P43 was installed, the venting was done in such a way that I can easily pull the pellet stove out and put a wood stove back in there in case of emergency (extended power loss) or if we leave here - no way I'm leaving the P43 behind, that thing is a little beast! I would be happy to burn wood again, there is just something about a wood stove, and cutting and burning wood is in my blood. For now however, the pellet stoves and convenience they offer suit me better.
