Oh come on, you know you miss seeing threads disappear or be moved to another part of the forum where no one sees them or closed, usually for no logical reason at all.
If it wasn't for me finding that other site and finding Dennis I would not be in the place I am today with my wood burning. His posts always struck a cord with me. I can remember reading for hours and hours my first season until my brain hurt on that site. A lot of good people over there willing to help, too bad a few bad apples spoiled it for all of us. I've had people e-mail me asking where Dennis went, I always let them know where he can be found.
I sometimes go there, there is a good repository of information there. But this is where I hang out, where the cool kids are. Greg
I actually found that site first after you all had jumped ship. I found a lot of your posts over there when I was Google searching about firewood stuff. I have an account there but it didnt take me long before I followed you guys home. There's better smileys here anyways.
Just to let everybody know, Backwoods Savage filled me in on what happened. I won't discuss it publicly at all. but, let's just say I'm not entirely suprised that it happened at all. Having a board like this, and I guess you would call it being the sole commander of that thing, makes people do some strange things at times. it's called being on a power trip and it is definitely a trip; if you know what I mean.
That's about my story too. I learned most of what I know about wood burning there, but after having threads closed in the Off Topic forum just from mentioning certain key words (guns, firearms, hunting, etc.) I started looking somewhere else where people were allowed to be open minded. Didn't take me long to find this place.
Ha! I actually found this site last year while looking to say "Hi" to BWS and a few others after a 3 year boycott of the other place. I still won't patron any sponsors over there nor do I even bother visiting. This place is a million times better and you can actually have "guy talk" without offending the betas lol
it's where i go to read about toy helicopters i used to read a lot but never posted ,i did detect some arrogance with some there ,there loss is our gain i am happy to be here with the michigan rebel

I'm new here, so can someone let me in on the secret? Why are we so reluctant to use "the other site's" name? I ask because I have no idea which one everyone is referring to.
