old saying not as much size dog in the fight but the size of fight in da dog! his family was in there!
He doesn't know he's just about the size of a bear chit... ... kicked that last bear's azz didn't he...
Our three 12 lb rat terriers have cornered a four hundred black bear and were trying to attack it. When we called them off, Campinspecter didn't know if the bear would follow them. the bear took one look at them leaving and retreated into the bush as fast as he could. One of these dogs is so scared of the vacuum that she hides as far under the bed as she can.
I wouldn't be surprised if my little jack Russell/beagle would try something like that, that dog is a nose with an attitude
Pretty sure Giz would go after anything too. Can see her get to where a bear was standing just a little bit before the speed of sound of her shrieking would either drive him off... or stomp her into the ground... Actually a problem with her... she's launched in a dead run out the 150' driveway shrieking at a couple neighbors walking by. Yelling at her, obviously does nuthin'... she can't hear anything. One of these days, she's gonna try that with a big dog walking by...
That's when a training collar or electric fence helps. I put one in. Keeps the dogs in the yard. They won't run through it.
She had her collar on Larry. It was my fault. By the time I could grab the controller, she was there (all was fine, except the shriekin'... ).
There's a second video also, about 20 seconds long, where that little fella runs the bears off too. It's cute.
