This one didn't end up in the "uglys" box

Well, here is another cleaver use of a dead tree that has some character.

 

I can see that becoming a real neat ornament shelf, Christmas decorations, autumn decorations......etc.

 

It also would be a great way to display the family genealogy info.

 

If it was my family tree it would definitely be some kind of overly productive nut tree!

 

I could see it becoming the property of my cats!

 

This is beautiful. I've been puzzling over where someone might find a tree like this, and I think I've got it: espaliered trees.

Exactly! After helping out my BIL haul some log bunk beds to the second floor, the first thing I thought of was how did they get it inside?

they might have brought it in through the window opening before the windows were in place. Or they could have sawed it up, labeled it and re-glued it together in place.

 

I prefer the living room one. these ones are a little overwhelming.

 

...and a little creepy! Be a good place for a haloween party, no?

 

Those trees make me want to start looking for flying monkeys.
