I was out of town yesterday when the temperature dropped to 45F with nasty rain. So, she fired up the new stove and ran it all day and night. The T5 burned from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00a.m. on about a 3/4 load of cherry and tulip poplar. The house was 65F and the stove was stillwarm in the morning. This reassures me that the stove and the wife were both the right choices
Wish i had some cherry to burn thatd killer wood. Im wifeless right now so only me feeding the old blazeking.
Mine does the same, Mike! She needed a few "lessons" and asks questions when she feels things aren't taking off just right... Sounds like we both got winners!
Cherry is interesting. I'm much more familiar with it for wood working. However, I have about 1/2 - 3/4 cord of it that I CSS this spring. It dried quickly and is ready to burn for this season..
Keepers for sure, Mike, Eric. Mrs TD fired the stove 4 days a week last winter while I worked out of town. I made sure there was enough wood inside before I left.
My wife will load up the firewood tote, or the wheelbarrow, and split the necessary kindling (if I don't already have some prepared) and set to doing..... I love my wife... For more than this reason
For those that know what this means, I have a Proverbs 31 wife (for those that don't, look it up!). But she could still use some bolt on performance enhancements. Any chance your wife & mine could get together for a talk?
I know what you mean (Proverbs 31). That's what I mean about being a blessing. Not perfect, but none are.
Okay, bragging about wives. Back in 1996 I laid in a hospital for almost 2 months right in the cold of winter. Our only heat is the wood stove. My wife spent almost all day every day at the hospital plus several nights after coming home to fill the stove. House stayed warm and she nursed me back to health.
It is the rarity to find a good Christian MAN. I keep hearing and seeing a lot of single ladies, but rarely see a single Christian man....
Got a good one Eric! my wife will do all above but I say NO to kindling. I have seen her use a hatchet and she's a dental hygienist. ... 3 years worth of kindling in trash cans in garage. But she's also a typical stubborn female... So I don't tell her she cant... I just make sure it is never necessary!
