here's a sign that anyone who lives near Warren Ohio, or passes though can't miss, well known place, i ate there once, not sure what the big deal is, it tasted like any other hot dog to me!!, maybe it's fries!!, i like the logo below as well..........
Eastpark, Smith, Arnies, and the Hot Dog Shoppe of course .............................. I see we drive the same local roads around here!
i've shopped at the antique shop right next to the restaurant for several years now, i'm about ten minutes north of Ravenna..............
I used to work "about 10 minutes north of Ravenna" ...................... managed the Portage and Brady's Leap Turnpike Plazas 2005-2007. Worked at NEOUCOM in Rootstown 1977-2005.
small world.......i live only three miles north east of the plazas.......... been wanting to get a pic of of the sign for the North Benton ice cream stand, if you get a chance, or if it's not too far out of the way, could you snap a pic of it and post it?, would be awesome if you could, no biggie if not, not sure when i'll get back down that way, how close are you to it?
I'll get one of it, great old ice cream stand. Got my old cat out front of it as a stray kitten. He was begging food and ice cream from folks so I brought him home, named him "Custer" (short for custard)!
very cool!.........hey, while we're talking ice cream stands, do you know what the one was called that got torn down recently that stood abandoned for years near Barber airport on 225 almost directly across from Lowe road by the lake?, it's still shown via google maps, but i know that it's finally been removed, it was a cool vintage 60's style stand...........
Here you go! Not looking like much these days, but its still seasonally open. I always liked this one down the road from it. Looking up close you can see that the poles were put through the hull, the boat was not added later. This place is up for sale now.
very cool!!, thanks Boog..........i forgot about the other one, been past it several times as well, nice info on how the sign was put up, i never stopped to really look at it, again, thanks for going the extra mile for me,.............
i stopped and looked at this boat/sign this morning, you can see where the back of the boat was cut out to put it in it's place and the rear seat was put back in..........
