Not much of anything really....Since Sunday & until end of next week I'm working nights (9pm to 4AM) at a inside hospital remodel down town.:hair: Getting used to it now,but is quite an adjustment from my normal daytime hours.o_O After getting home & having a couple beers finally got to sleep at 530,which is around the time I usually wake up. :picard:

By the weekend hope to work on the 740 (good used replacement clutch should arrive then) & the 795 should arrive also. :saw::ups:

Since we're getting some much needed rain here in Central KY, thought I'd spend the day in the shop. Changing oil in a couple of the vehicles, adding a new filter to the log splitter, cleaning up/sharpening a couple of saws and working on the counterweight for the Kubota. ( yeah, that's a flywheel off a JD hay baler)

Got a Kubota L2900 that needs a rear weight. I'm thinking about using a plastic 30gal drum full of sand or concrete myself... Don't have a lot of big old iron to work with...

031 POS again. Ended up being the known spark issue on these pos'ts. Least I finally figured out with redneck testing after new fuel filter and carb rebuild. Ran great for awile then boom.

Also echo 310 came in and a bunch of dang chains to grind.

Got to love doing this as a hobby and just putting money in our pockets on the side.

The TruFuel cans are empty. G2G fuel. Until recently it was the easiest non-E fuel to get here.

Yes, the butterfly's are arranged like that in the saw.

Screwed around with my old Murray push mower part of the morning, scrounged a new/used plug from the Snapper rider(POS) - no spark:headbang: this is after a new pull rope
pulled cleaned/gapped coil it ohmed out OK - still nothing
I figured 15yrs of cutting grass and bush hogging the wood lines, it might have paid for itself.

Drove to TSC thinking about a new rear-drive Cub push mower - they put them away last week:headbang:
Stopped by my Stihl dealer (neighbor) the only "push mower" he had was $1800:bug:
Wallyworld had one with $100 tag gas cap off and it was raining outside used/returned Bolens the gas was more water than gas and the primer bulb was torn.
Lowes had about 6 used/repaired in varying states of missing parts for $ 2-300
swung by HD and snatched brand new in box Yard machine B&S for $260 with tax - I don't think the plastic front end will take the abuse of the old murray but new coil is in it's future

It's just some cloth tape, we call it "friction tape" not sure if that's the right name or not, but the reason for the tape is to make darned sure it stays in my hand. That thing is nasty sharp.

It just bounces off hedge apple though.

Saw three of them running here in my travels today.
One field had two expensive looking green machines and a tractor w/ harrow ready to disc and probably seed winter wheat.
Down the street I think they are growing Canola but not sure, it's just started blooming yellow flowers

I get about 10 of those a year to be repaired. A lot of the time it is a homeowner who is unfamiliar with saws and messes them up. I worked on two today.

I see more ms290/390 chassis saws than anything else. I have knocked down my rebuild time to 42mins the other night which included light cleaning, muff mod, and limiter cap removal. Those are the easiest money I make all year...

Thinking about doing something fun like a 044/440 tonight but we'll see...

Repetitive work makes for getting quicker and better at it.
