Into the woods!! Well sort of.

    The weather was a little cooler here yesterday so I took the opportunity to cut two dead standing Red Oaks. After 6 years of cutting I am now cutting almost 60 yards away from the house:thumbs:.

    I have been using a H F synthetic 3500# winch rope to pull trees out of the brush and now put one on the winch. At $25.00 for 50' they are cheaper than steel cable and are working out better:tree:

    Never ending supply of wood heat outside your door is a nice feeling isn't it?

    If you're winching a bunch of wood look into a snatch block/pulley rig it up in a tree and pull from any direction - kind of like making a movable cheap yarder

    I seem to have a never ending supply of trees dying, flag them in the fall and cut when the weather is right - or sometimes when I just feel like sweating to near death:D
