That 14th split on the 3rd row of the eastern stack needs pushed in just a little Ashwatcher, one of those bucks may snag it chasing a doe.

Locust Post-love to chase some of your NE OH bucks, just saying---yes, my stacks are a little off kilter due to drying, my shed faces south and a good ball peen hammer or my pickaroon is pecking most every eve tapping back the weight of the stacks---good luck to you this season chasing split-tails....

Bow season opened on Sat. but it'll be a little bit before I get out yet. I did put up a new stand and caught a couple small bucks on the trail cam.

Is it appropriate to post a pic here of a buck harvested Sat less than 2 mi from my house? We have big bucks here too and I cut most of my wood on my 400 acre farm-if appropriate to post, it was taken like 5 mi from my farm, 2 mi from my home...

Locust Post-I'm alot like you, I don't even really want to be out until about Halloween, a magical time from there through the first 2 weeks of November, after that it's all down hill....I get depressed after the first rifle cracks...here in WV the Monday of Thanksgiving week, always...

I hear ya, sir! Sorta wish I had taken up my dad's appreciation of hunting white tail... But I did share some duck slaying years with him in the 90's, and he still has my first kill (wood duck in flight) hanging on the wall at their house. Those were good times, for sure!
Of course, Ash, I had to give ya a little ribbing!

What part of WV you living in AshWatcher? Looks like southern part of the state from the looks of those steep ridges.

That's a nice buck. Small body on it considering the horns. Lot of big deer in the woods this year. God Bless
