First trip this fall

    Nice load of cherry/ash mix.....all unloaded and ready for the splitter. My feet are sore though from carrying those steel toed boots around..... I must have got a little soft over the summer.

    Nice score there LP! More than just my feet would have been sore... :) Looked like a little maple also or are my eyes going bad now too?.....

    No maple Fan, other than one very small tree that I'm not sure what is was, it's all ash and cherry.

    I'm not fond of steel toed boots for lugging around but I like sore toes even less.....yes I dropped a round on one once thus steel toed after that. Of course it may never happen again but it hurt I'll tell you.

    Nice load, and nice mix too! :yes: I like wearing the boots when I'm working on bigger stuff out in the woods, but once I'm up at the house, those suckers come off. I split about a face cord this morning in my slippers... :D

    My toes were always frozen wearing steel toed boots in the winter. I'm sure they would help keep a toe eating chain from getting too close though.
