As long as we get the snow to go with the cold I don't mind. I hate frigid cold without snow to play in!
Thanks for the post thewoodlands and for the caterpillar chart Deererainman. I was needing to know exactly how much wood to pack into the shed for winter. Which will get done in the next few days.
It won't be very good for Albany New York to the East Coast, lots of snow and flooding. El Nino may bring a warm, wet winter
Well I thought the El Nino was going to be a good thing but that right there shoots the heck out of that
I think we'll run into the same, maybe not the blizzards but the rain after some snow always makes a mess.
Well I wasn't thinking before, about with the warmer temps, could end up getting freezing rain and ice storms and that's the last thing I want
I'm thinking 1998 was a strong El Nino year which produced the worst ice storm I ever saw, this area was without power for a month.
We got pounded '96 & '98. 3ft snowstorm and 2 years later, major ice storm. I remember the car completely buried.
The bigger the muskrats make their huts the harder the winter will be. Another but I don't buy into this one because of experience otherwise in my hunting days years ago...the more fat a deer has on it the harder the winter.
