Looks like a warm winter, as the weathermen are predicting.

Seems like we have more than the usual amount of acorns and mushrooms this year. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the winter of 2015–2016 is looking like a repeat of last winter, at least in terms of temperatures with unseasonably cold conditions over the Atlantic Seaboard, eastern portions of the Great Lakes, and the lower peninsula of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, most of the Tennessee and Mississippi Valley, as well as much of the Gulf Coast.

New Englanders will once again experience a very frigid (shivery) winter (Déjà vu).
    Depends where you live!

The acorn drop and gray squirrel count is way below normal in my yard. I have 4 huge red oaks that are dropping leaves, but very few acorns. Some years were so bad, I had to rake them up or there was a huge mess of squashed acorns in the driveway. Can't figure it all out. Natures way.

You got to stop falling for the forecast given by a tourist from Key West who has yet to return home.

The acorns are bouncing off the next door metal barn roof plenty here. Depends upon where you are and if the tree rodents haven't already nipped through most of the branches that had green acorns, there are all kind of oak trees here. The next door cats have done a good number on acorn munchers.
