    Around 50 here. Gonna try to finish up the deck staining and railing re-vamps I've been picking away at this summer. I'm getting a lot faster at stuff like this now... what should have taken a week... only took 4 months... :whistle:

    Morning fruit & yogurt smoothie right now then caffeine. Driving, delivering used auto parts for my buddy this week as one of his drivers is not available. Chuckling because that old saying about being busier after you retire is right on.

    So here's a quick back story now that I'm at the pc. Had about 6 stumps originally to take out, asked the guy 2 houses down. His son came to do it, he's about 16 and a great kid from what I can tell. He did an awesome job, cleaned everything up very nice. I tried to pay him well to show my gratitude. I then tacked on 5 more stumps if he wanted at it to round out the work I needed done. He obliged and came to finish the job yesterday evening after we got the hose fixed and all.

    I saw him leaving with a scowl on his face, and then return a half hour later with "the boss" on the machine. He doesn't know how it bent but I would venture a guess that he was hooked to a root with the hoe and then moved the machine backwards. Only way I can see bending that. The kid is learning, and this is an expensive lesson. I will do my best to pay half or all of the new cylinder because really these guys help me out big time and they are a great family.

    Last evening from the big screen window, Campinspecter and I watched geese flying south with the westerly wind. this morning in the dark as I headed out for my walk, I could hear geese heading south. Fall is coming.
