http://www.nngroup.com/articles/checkboxes-vs-radio-buttons/ I have played with Visual Basic (VB) off and on but not good at it.. It does help you to understand what happens when you interact with windows or applications.. Cool stuff!
My first priority is always cutting and getting it home unless I don't have room to dump it. There is almost always splitting and stacking to do when I have time. Today is no exception
My wood is primarily log loads coming from a tree service. So I do it in bulk lots. I prefer to process when it is cooler out and the damage done to my suburban yard is greatly reduced if I do it between November and March. When I get a load I spend several weekends working it till it is all stacked up. (And I'm 90% stacked on the wood that I got in mid November. One or two more days and that will be done and cleaned up.) I have a tendency to get several years ahead and then skip processing for a year or two.
Year round, there are times I am just too busy with work and kids travel ball, if I can sneak in 20 minutes of chopping here and there at those times, I'm happy. Now in January I will be off more so the splitter will come out in the morning when the kids go back to school, before you know it I ll have to go pick up more wood out there....
Skid trees out on the snow, to keep the logs clean, then CSS between when the snow melts and the black flies come out.
I think when the boxes were on the screen you probably could have voted for multiple options but once you look at the poll results you are locked out of further votes. Since I didn't know better, like Dex I only had one vote.
I try to do everything I can when there are no bugs now. But sometimes I have to do it when I have time. If I have anything to say about it I am going to have all of next years cut and split by end of January. Probably won't get it all stacked till March though. Depends how much snow we get.
Do you use the animals in your avatar to do the skidding? (A picture of the operation is required regardless ). The guy that I get logs from has a crane. I can definitely appreciate the 'clean' aspect of it.
Cold be poal. Can't be pool but could be pol pole is nice, poll works too Nice thing about being a hillbilly , they all sound fine. MR Ducks, MR Not, SAR,CM Wangs, LIB, MR Ducks
Anytime between 20* and 80*. And years like last one when I have 15 cords of rounds piled in the yard any dang time I can make myself. Now next year I have to turn the 12 cords in the pile into stacks plus hopefully cut/haul/split 5-10 more cords. when I get to 30-40 cords I might slack off a bit.
If you wants pics of the ugly pile 6' high 12' wide and 35' feet long I'll be happy to get some if it stops poring rain. There is a good reason I bought the MS460 and the new splitter last year.
