Rather then start anuther thread about anuther o44,,, I'll just leave this here.

Yesterday I went to a estate auction just up the road from my place. Low and behold there is a o44 on a trailer with other tools. 25" wide nose bar, 3/4 wrap handle, and wide clutch cover, etc.

Filthy dirty, but looks like nothing is broken, and it started on the 3rd pull. Idle'd fine, rev'd fine, so I stuck around waiting for them to auction it off so I could bring it home :)

Gave a quick squirt & scrub today, now to pull the tank and covers and get it really clean,,,

Yeah pretty happy with this one, it's a one owner also. I talked to the brother, of who's estate it was. Said his brother bought it new, at the dealer in town, same dealer I deal with....

The trailer it was on, they auction'd at the end of the day. Auctioneer said instead of doing this trailer one piece at a time, lets get this over with faster, its been a long day. We will auction and the high bidder gets his choice off of the trailer, take one item or take them all...

They started out at $25, we shot up to $200 pretty fast, there was only two of us bidding at that point, auctioneer stopped and asked your both after that orange & white chainsaw right? We both nodded, he took off again, got to $275 and the other guy dropped out, I looked over at him and said this was just starting to get fun, lets go to $300, he said no its your saw and walked away. :) :) I am usually not that cocky, but wanted to take it home with me....

Did you take the one saw or take it all? Sounds like you could of taken just the saw or taken it all including the saw?

I just took the saw. There was not anything else on the trailer that I thought was worth $275.

Choice means, you take what item you want, and if you want other items, they multiply your bid for the amount of items you take. It's kind of confusing, until you learn what choice means

My wife was at auction with me once, they had some chairs she wanted, the auctioneer said we are selling these "choice" she was all hopped up (thinking she was bidding on the lot of them) ran the bidding up to $20, then they asked her how many she wanted she said all 6 of them, OK the auctioneer said, 6 times $20, she said wait I thought it was for the whole lot of them? He said no it's "choice" you take one it's $20, you take 4 it's $80, etc,,, choice is the item you want, and if you want more then one, it's your bid multiplied by the number of items you take.

Tank was broken on the other side. Keith fixed it up with a piece from another busted tank. It's plenty good enough for me. If need be I'll get a new flippy tank.

speaking of 044 tanks. Do you know of anyway to fix this?

I picked up this tank last week, the front AV mount is broken off. There is no other damage to the tank.

I like that Homie and the J'red but as you know the 5200's are 1975 gutless wonders. The less said about that the better if you know what I mean.
