Picked up the truck a couple hours ago. Glad we got it turned around before he got here with that wrecker. He'd have "wrecked" the lawn perty good hookin' up. He hauls tractor trailers (empty) with it... o_O

Will you please explain this to my wife!

Her response to me was oversize 3 car garage bonus room above it... 30 x 40 horse barn no horses. I am NOT shoveling or scraping my windows! Well it told her "Yes Dear "

    Hooray for WW!

Yes, it is a pallet repair company next to my new job. The bin is filled weekly.

Businesses do not close, aside from the odd national holiday. Our kids have 6 weeks of summer holidays so we work out amoungst ourselves as coworkers how we can keep all departments running.

Government employees also get a better deal with better job protection, more holidays and shorter workweeks. But the other side is that they are less well payed.

Your calculations are good VT. I'm picking the hardwood chunks out now and leaving some for others.

17 cord is like a 9 years supply for me.
I burn just over a cord a year.

Some folks I am sure will need it worse than me. They will be the ones grabbing it when the snow flies. I know of a few friends that have a lot of wood, but just not seasoned, and this will help them out immensely.

I know I am a wood hoarder when I scrounge on a 90 degree day.

I have a half of a travel mug worth of coffee left in the truck from this morning. Since it was so hot today, it is just like it was fresh brewed. You can't get that in the winter.

Here's the catch.... We looked for 5 years for this particular truck at the right price for HIM:whistle:

PS, we have a large pole barn, empty except quad and pellets. But his trap thrower (on trailer) and 1910 cook stove are in the garage. :zip:

Years ago in my drinking days I picked up a half full beer can that I thought I had just set down and took a big slug only to find out that it had probably been there a couple of months and had a bunch of bugs in it! Got into the habit of checking first after that.:)

For years my coffee pot ran several times per day, 2 coffees, 2 teas. On the way out I poured what was left into my big gulp cup full of iced tea, got on the road and it was coffee, eeeeewwww!

My company lets us "buy" an additional week(40hrs broken out over 26 pay periods) on top of the two given at employment and third earned at year 5. Couple that with four 8hr floating holidays (additional 32hrs) Keeps them from paying fixed holiday OT for guys that work 4 holidays that other portions of the company has - I think Columbus day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Easter or New years eve.

I never buy the additional week - it requires you consume all your vacation(they won't cash it out) so I can carry 80hrs each year, still burn 120hrs + 32hrs floating holidays. Gives me 2 weeks insurance pay.
If they'd pay me for sick leave, which I never use, I think I have 320hrs accrued:headbang:
