It's just out of curiosity more than anything. We tend to split in the fall although this year I have gotten behind on the splitting. I don't mind winter splitting at all but fall is so beautiful I can't help but be outside.
When I was doing the log loads, I'd c/s/s whenever. Now, not too much in the winter once we get a bunch of snow.
A soon as possible after it's bucked up to get it seasoning. Have done it, spring , summer, fall & winter. When I have wood that needs split, , it bugs me until it's split. 80% of the time, that's in the Fall
We loosely stack it in the winter as we cut it. Then after snow melt we split then stack. At least this is how we normally do it around here. When I used to split by hand it was done in fall/winter.
Year round and as I have time here. I try to always have something on hand. Either logos I bought home needing cut, rounds needing split, or splits to stack. I'm almost out of work though, some more to split then I'll have to find some more wood to go after.
I usually split in the spring while it is still cool. I have limited space for storing wood so I split until my storage area is full, about 4 cords a season. KaptJaq
I voted for all but summer here.. Selection boxes typically allow multiple selections while radio buttons only allow one choice..
Just read the votes.. Yep. I must have just "missed" the Year Round Box. Because I tried to select it as well. Some polls only allow 1 selection. This one is multiple? Even as a Mod, I cant vote again.. (tried )
If you see square check boxes then usually yes multiple allowed. Round are radio buttons, only one allowed..
