I was very lucky to get Blazers @ $4.49 a bag @ HD for two years. Just luck the way I see it. Haven't bought my pellets yet, but SIB is a good option for me. He will deliver MWP for a good price. They are a good all round pellet and perform very well for me. My Harman is key. Good stove, and my home is well insulated. So I get a good value from most any pellet. Some have more ash than others but the BTU range for most is almost the same. Some are 6% better and lower ash, but really, the ash is not much of an issue with this stove. I had a fussy stove for a few years. Hated the clinkers and the sooted glass. My stove then, just didn't like Energex. I actually gave my pellets away. (my son was grateful to get them) Now I don't concern myself with that much at all.

I threw in a bag of blazers last year it was mid febuary and the temps where around 10below zero and I had the stove one its lowest setting and the entire house was 77 degrees. It would take me the high est setting to even approach that temp with anything else. And most times never get anywhere near past 72. Blazers are rocket fuel for my stove.

See dougies above post. Pretty much says it all.

Unless they try stuffin something else in them purple bags!! Today its BM's, Come tomorrow??

Now that they are a hit, I'd expect a few other brands to start making the journey from the west to the east. There are a few other nice DF's over there that could make it over here! Just sayin!!

Tomorrow will be the same as we put in them purple bags yesterday, last week, last month and for the past 2 years...nothing will or has changed

As far as others coming west....they have tried with some having better results than others...but the Okie DF have been very well accepted......yes even at the prices that are charged for them....still think they are the single best pellet available anywhere...and many agree with that.

Mr. Ihatepropane.....have you tried my Okie DFir pellets yet?.....(warning...here comes the sales pitch)..There is NO DOUGLAS FIR pellets on the market that can match the quality of this pellet... 2-2.5% moisture content.... .1-.12% ash content and true BTU's that are higher than anything I have ever seen from a 3rd party testing lab...reports of people going more than a ton burned without even emptying their ash binds (YMMV) and glass that stays clean for weeks.......I'm very bias....but as far as Douglas Fir pellets go...there simply is no equal....they are that good, which is why sales are off the charts...even with heating oil below $2.00 in places.....and yes there are other good west coast fir pellets now in NE, but none are in the same league as the Okies.....that isn't bragging....that is just a simple fact.....(end of sales pitch....or education....depending on how you want to see this).....

No I have not. I would if they were close by, maybe even buy a ton for chits and giggles. I am sure they are fantastic but at the end if the day IMHO, would most likely not be worth the cost.

That is my point...you haven't burnt the Okie Douglas Fir to properly compare. Don't get me wrong, Blazers are a very good pellet...especially if you can find them in the boxes at box store pricing in NE (wouldn't hold my breathe on that happening this winter...but I could be wrong)...But in my oh so humble meager pellet salesman opinion they still are not the pellet that ours are head to head...I understand we haven't agreed on many things with each other...so I don't except that will change even if you did....but we will just agree to disagree...and that is OK too....

But like I mentioned earlier...this is like which is better Coke or Pepsi...its a matter of choice....

Not sure what you are referring to??? When I said tied for first it is because your DF's and another Brand would potentially tie that spot. That other brand being very similar to those in your bags.

And I wouldn't compare pellets I have not personally burned unless I disclosed something like "generally these are thought of as xxxxx"
