Funny you should say that, I was in my driveway last March doing just that...only difference is that it wasn't 30 below.

Still in the dooryard. Our local guys will pick it up when they can get it in the shop. They're pretty busy so... not sure when. My honey has her Sube and I'll use the Jeep. Roughin' it...

When I had my Caddy NorthStar I remember folks bitchin about a starter under the intake being a PITA to change - all I can say was it was a whole lot nicer standing up instead of climbing under a greasy truck contorting yourself to loosen rusted bolts;)

..and you just call a wrecker:picard:

Yeah... I don't do the crawlin' under vehicles much these days either. I'd never remember why I was there, after I got under there with a wrench in my hand... :picard:

Well, the US has the least amount of days off ( vacation and holidays) of all first world countries.

Many countries, except the USA, have practically a whole month off as paid holiday.

Unfortunately the starter was the least of the northstar's issues.

True, but in Europe it does vary wildly from country to country. Most of my German and Belgium business contacts are quite impressed that in The Netherlands most take 3 weeks off for summer holidays. We've got a total of about 5 weeks here

Oh yeah, it varies, but when a whole country is on holiday for a month, factories shut down, at the same time, that's so far from what the US has. Some Asian countries have off for a week at a time. We have a day, usually. So a 3 day holiday is a big deal here.

I still recall not getting answers on a shipment from Asia due to a week long national holiday. Then I looked at the calendar of holidays and observed days. There's so many days off, everywhere but the US.

That's part of our core though, hard working us citizens. It'd just be nice to get more national holidays for everyone, not just government workers.
