It's a V twin 16hp. I'd like to put the 25hp if I could find one on it. The transmission is rated for max 25 hp....

I call those lawnmowers. Yea I know they can do more and are technically "garden tractors or lawn tractors" but still had to think of them as anything else.

Cool old iron though. Cart your wood around the yard like a "boss" (my new incorporation or millineial language into my post").

It is in between a garden tractor and lawn mower really but compared to a newer mtd the frame is much stronger. I pulled my k15 up my drive with one and it did really well. They got a lot o balls! Besides they look cool lol.

Oh Yea thats way more than an MTD. But to me a long way from what I think of as a tractor.

Still blows my mind that an International Club only has the HP that it does. Shows what gear reduction and torque and rotating mass can do for you.

The Massey Harris Pony had 10 HP and the Pacer had 17 HP at the drawbar. The Pony had a Continental N62 CID 4 cylinder engine that was also used in the Earthmaster tractor.

I laugh a little inside when I talked about my "tractor" too (an old Wheel Horse), as they aren't really the same as the Ford's my dad uses on his property. At the same time, I've seen working farms where these garden tractors serve just as important role as massive 8 wheelers, so it's unfair to just call them "mowers" too!
