    Hello

Since turning to the left loosens a bolt on threads, the Left Latch on some Englander stoves keeps getting loose?

Has anyone seen this problem? What did you do to fix it?

Here is what I am trying to this one stove where just the left latch keeps getting loose!

The star lock washer inn this case seems to have lost it's grip. (Pic 1)

Therefore I put in a very beefy C lock washer (Pic 2) so we will see what happens this year under normal use!

I'd try a nylon loc nut. or loctite the original.

They're called split lock washers. And I think Jay's idea for the nylon locking nut is the way to go.

Don't they make items with the opposite threading for such setups ?

Thanks Imacman. Why Nylon and it would have to be high temp nylon?

Well then if you don't like nylock try toplock or flexlock nuts. Lotsa options like mentioned, jamb nut, hi temp threadlocker, etc...

Oh and for decent fasteners, I suggest a place that deals with them. Not box stores.
