    We had a female chocolate lab that would go in, but really didn't care for it much.
    All the rest are crazy for water. Especially the water bowl. They leave a nice trail of water all the way though the house. It's worse when they come in after a game of fetch the ball.

    Thanks, Elkie is 8 months old now, and my boy Zip is about 18 months, already shot over 50 birds to him. Looking forward to Grouse season.

    Im hoping my Maple is good with upland. Im slowly working with her with dummies and wings. Used a live bird and she did well. Water, hands down really good! Will start training with blank 22's soon. Shes used to the
    Noise from the neighbors shooting half the weekends.

    We did. His owners came home early to avoid stormy weather tomorrow. He was pretty excited to see them. Overall he is a very laid back dog - pretty mellow. Our dog Shadow was more trouble with trying to bully him.

    We never exposed our labs to swimming. Beach and leash rules don't allow much opportunity to let the dogs go freely. I have taken them to the water's edge. They have shown no interest. One of our son's has a mixed lab. He takes him duck hunting from a boat. The dog jumps in and will fetch the duck. You have to be able to be in an area where no one can tell you to hang on your dog at all times.
