Me too... but with my fat azz in there, it'd never get off the ground and just fold up like a pretzel...
I'd want to wear more than shorts if that thing folded up and collapsed. Lots of fast little blades there. Neat concept though. I imagine in time technology will keep that thing level and in motion when needed.
If he ever gets it flying, he will need better visibility above and to the sides. First thing we are taught is keep the head moving and looking for others.
That roof he's got there must help the rotors provide more lift somehow, or ?? Yep, clear Lexan would be gooder.
Cool idea. The wannabe engineer in me wonders what kind of battery provides enough current to 54 thirsty electric motors, what length flight time is possible...
Thats a good start, interesting idea he has. A bit of trial and error and he may have something. I wouldn't want to the batteries to fail at the wrong time without a plan B.
Yeah, I don't think the helmet's gonna' do him much good from 50' up.....or more. Automatic parachute seems in order.....or something. Not exactly something you can pull off the side of the road if something fails.
Cool video..... Seems a bit dangerous, he'll eventually go higher in time, but even a small wind gust will flip him over and down he will go. Id probably build one to scout firewood and hunnies.
If he squatted that "airbag" (chitbag) when he hit from 100' up... whoooooo weeeeee wouldn't the chit fly... Yep, he's got to get more control of those rotors, and enough total power so he could lose a few and still fly... before too many folks are gonna want to strap in. Which reminds me... anyone see anything that even looks like a seat belt?
