Hey all, anybody with experience in burning this brand of pellets. LG Granules made in Saint-Felicien Quebec Canada. I have a possible chance to buy from a guy that bought them last year. he claims there was to much work with his pellet stove so will not bother with it any more. Pellets are made of black spruce and grey pine apparently with no bark. The guy is asking for $ 225.00 for 83 bags and about 2 hrs drive for me one way. Looking for advice from the experienced pellet heads on here. Thanks a bunch for any help Old Fart
I appreciate the quick response, just waiting for the guy to email me back. I don't think they will last long, so hopefully I can score them. Thanks Old fart
I would ask where have they been stored. You don't want someone else's problem.. To be honest we have never had anyone say they Didn't want to finish using up the ones they had... Never had anyone say they would never burn them again... Some won't buy anything else.. Good pellets.. Dan
From the pics it looks like they are in his basement. It wasn't that he didn't like the pellets he found it to much work to clean the stove. So he is either very lazy or he has a poor quality stove. He said it was just to much work for him. The basement cement blocks look to be dry so I wouldn't think they have absorbed a lot of water. Still waiting for him to get back to me. Could be sold already. Old Fart
I didnt like them. They burned very cold for me. Blower air temp maybe 190 avg opposed to 220 avg with box store junk. Blackened my stove and glass real good, but hardly any ash at all for me
There gone I missed them. Guy never bothered to email me back. I checked the site this morning and they are gone. Oh well chite happens. Thanks all Old Fart
That's too bad. It was a great deal. Oh well, easy come easy go. All you can do is keep an eye out for the next deal to come along.
We've found the trick to burning LGs here is to turn up combustion air some - these pellets like to burn hot: blackened glass happens when they don't have enough air here.
I think it's tough trying to burn these things at a low temp, anyway... Black glass is gonna happen... Dan
