Thanks to a post on Another Site, a saw found its way to my door today. A member there posted a link to a Craigslist ad in Michigan where a pawn shop had the saw listed. After 5 days I called them and the saw was still there and they were willing to ship. A very nice Partner P-100 Super, the pictures are before it has been cleaned (by me or the pawn shop). Came with a 24" Oregon bar, but I will mount a 36" bar off my PM 1000 on it. The brighter pictures are due to using a flash.

I had the chance to buy it but passed. I've read that they are a big deal to some people. I don't know much about them and would've only bought cause it was a P100. Guess I missed an opportunity. Why are they sought after?

What other saw looks like a toaster and packs 6 cubes? Anything 100 cc's or above made after the mid 60's is worth having.

I looked at that post and knew what it was.
    Great looking saw.
CL was good to me when I found the Mac edition a few years ago.

Nice saw! Ive never ran any partner saws, that one looks like it never seen any commercial use. Were partner and pioneer built by the same company?

No, they were independent companies before they merged and ultimately became part of Husqvarna. Some of the larger Pioneer saws were rebranded as Poulan Pro (i.e. 405, 455, 525 and 655).

Pioneer has disappeared as a brand and Partner makes chop saws.
