According to my suppliers the dolmar red is going to stay. It's the name they are unsure about. Some new version on makita dolmar maybe arise.

I havnt seen much love for the 421 yet however if you ran one you would change your mind. I've personally owned most of the 50cc class of saws. I use these as my "trimming" /small cutting saws. I always have reverted back to the 026 stihl. Weight for the main reason. However this 421 weights the same and it will give an 026 all it wants to try and out perform it. I'm very very ready to port this one. I think at the end of the day both ported there's gonna be a cut throat battle but we will see. :dex:

I'm loving the pro-Dolmar posts - nice to see these saws getting some of the recognition they certainly deserve. Cheers!

WV around here 9/10 loggers run husky. The other one runs still usually. Never seen a Dolmar or echo in the hand of a logging crew.

Also probably cause the small town that many are from only has 2 husky dealers. This is a small town like 5k or way less and 20 some logging crew work out of the area.

Stihl dealers are in the big town area. Most dont want to go there for anything other than what they have to.

I got an extra muffler from a friend and removed all the cat material and put in an extra port. Did this before I even cut much, so I can't say how much it helps, but have heard it makes a significant difference from lots of others. Oh, it gets rid of a lot of extra heat too.
    Thanks for the heads up!

Just removing the cat from inside.
Runs free and cooler. More longevity and better throttle response.
