Just happened to stop by the local ECHO dealer and was inquiring about a 590, looked at them yesterday at a different dealer. After I got to talking with him found out he only lives a mile from me. He said he did not have a 590 in stock but had something else I may be interested in instead. He goes in the back and comes out with a box that somebody wrote "DEMO" on, I looked in the box and pulled out a brand spanking new ECHO CS-600P. The box said demo but saw had never even had a bar, gas or oil put in it. I got to talking some more and he says he has TWO of these saws! The second saw did not say demo but was also brand new! He tells me he bought these from a dealer going out of business and could give me a great deal on one them. I said what kinda deal you give me on both saws "neighbor". So any way Ol'Tom walked out with two brand new ECHO CS-600P's for $800, that is $400 apiece out the door. I sure hope I did not burned on this deal boys. I did call a good friend that has been wanting an ECHO and passed one saw on to him.
The Echo site lists them at $559 with a 16" B&C. I see no B&C in your pix, I'd say you did pretty good.
The ECHO online store says $579 I think. I got an 18" and 2 chains for one and a 20" bar and 3 chains for the other. So yep think I did ok. Dealer I spoke with yesterday asked $620 OTD for same saw with a "20, but he was also asking $459+ TAX for the 590
Dang it Tom! You win! I can't keep up. Every time I get a good deal and buy something, you get better deal and buy two of them. I give up. I think you did real well my friend. Really well. Tractor supply has them listed for $549. You bought 3/4 of one and got another one free. I'd say that is as good as it gets. I'm looking forward to seeing how it runs. God Bless
Tom, between cutting and busting wood for me and mine and, correcting my mistakes, you stay pretty busy. Actually, it was Home Depot that had them for that price. Not TSC. Now, in my defense, I had just left tractor supply before coming home. And, I had just set down and was talking on the phone to my brother about buying a wood splitter from TSC, while at the same time, responding to this thread. When I typed in the saw to my search engine, Home depot's link popped up first. (I know this now as I went back and tried it again to see if I was incorrect.) But, somewhere, between talking with my brother about the splitter from TSC and, reading and responding to this thread, I got the two mixed up. BTW, the price at Home Depot is $569. Not $549 like I first said. I know, I know....... You know me Tom. Sometimes it is just better to over look it versus going through the pain of correcting it. God Bless fellas
Thanks Pete used your pics from the thread you started on your 590 to do a muffler mod on it this evening.
