    they say an 18 inch base 60 feet tall gets about a cord. so I would say half cord at most depending on how much of branches they keep...

    I dont know anything about firewood prices in your area, but that sounds crazy high for wood. You have to haul and split also?

    About 400 a cord for seasoned mesquite.
    I got a mesquite fresh cut from a tree service 22" rounds All i could haul free, This guy is dreaming.
    Id give him 150$

    I'd say 1/4 cord at the very best and probably not even close to that. If it was an 18" average log 24' long you would get near 1/3 cord. But he is saying a tree 25' tall, not the log. There isn't that much in it.

    They hired a tree company, and they wont let them take the wood-they are trying to sell it for as much as possible
    ( like to find out what they are paying to drop the tree)
    If I can get the wood cut up into 18" rounds id give them 150. I got all this free was 22" rounds ( good stuff mesquite)

    Not much wood in that tree. Paul B is about right. My guess is about 1/8 cord being generous.
    If you really like Mesquite for cooking, it might be worth 25-30 bucks.
    I can't believe someone would even try to sell such a small amount.

    I would not use that tree for firewood I would use it for smoking meat with. Mesquite flavored turkey and chicken is delicious

    People around here put crap like that on Craigslist too, example walnut tree between two houses, you cut down, Haul away the wood clean up the brush and pay me $250 :rofl: :lol:

    That's funny-I had to look where you live since that sounds like a craigslist ad I read around here a few days ago. Not only do people expect to find someone to work for free but they expect to be payed to let someone work. If I'm coming to you it better be free, on the ground, easy to get to, I take only what I want and you clean up the mess. If you are a friend I'll help you drop a tree if you help me load up the wood. If I pay for wood it gets delivered where I want it. People :loco: :crazy:
