I agree with Backwoods Savage! I believe a small 30" or so in at the bottom would really help lower the center of gravity!!
All the big logs from the stakes and up are Red Cedar thus a lot lighter than Hemlock but it still makes for a 130 ton load! Impressive! The driver has to pay attention to side leans in the road and stay on the crown of the road. A bad side lean and a big load like that will follow the lean and not respond to the steering wheel. These two were my creations both around 100 tons.
I think it's real. My wife and I have been to Humboldt many times, and I've seen crazy pics from the logging there.
The one thing I notice and question would be height. Are all the pole lines up there run parallel to the road. He is up to the height of the primary. Also the height of the machine used to load something like that. Seems he'd have to be under whatever is loading to that height.
Would say it's an off highway truck. In Maine there's lots of over height and over width loads but they never see pavement, mills are right on the woods roads.
