Definitely, the 445 was in need of a role model

Should make a nice little team !

We had a big wind in the area in July, so I will have no shortage of opportunity to use it them for quite some time !

I approve. My 550 gets the most run time out of all my saws.

After several months of internet research I decided I "needed" one as well. It was my first chainsaw.

I have the 555 at work and love it as a light saw.

I have a 445 that I own. Its a glorified limber or yard saw. I youll it out every now n then but am too inpatient to wait on a cut. I take it as a back up and has cut me out of a jamb but its not a go to saw. I have grabbed it to literally toss it to the side mid cut to then grab the 372 or ms650!!

Nice saw! If I only had 'needed' saws, I'd probably only have my 372 and PS-510......wants are funner! Cheers!

Want vs. need is simply a matter of time lapse. Wants turn to needs for some more quickly than others. Deeper pockets make for shorter time lapses.

I like the LPX & LGX the best.
The 550 Husqy is nice light weight saw with good power ratings.

    Been looking hard at the 555 Husqy with a 3/8 X 20"
They've added some nice feature since I got the 359 Husqy
Got too many 3/8 x .050 x 20" chains to get another sized bar.

Bogy I have the 555 at work. I got it specifically with the 18" bar sin e I wanted it shorter for the truck and still can cut a big tree with that.

I know you won't have a bit of trouble with 20" though. It can pull the 18" bar with most or all of it burried in an oak log. Soft wood or aspen would be nomatch for the 3/8" 20" chain.

Aren't the 359 and 555 similar sized saws? Both are 59cc. I had the 359 and loved it. My first real saw. I sold it after I got the 346 because it seemed like there was too much overlap of ability. Got the 576 and think I have a better "set" of saws now.

Yea your right. But the 555 seems to have more torque than other saws similar sized I have used.

I was using my neighbors 555 last weekend, it did have some guts to it. I was torn between that and the 550. I think for what I'll be doing most of the time it should work just fine. Plus I've got a 555 next door . Hopefully I will get to break mine in a bit over the weekend.

    If I didn't have 10+ years of 3/8 , 20" chain loops,
The 550 would be on my short list !!! Its light weight is hard to pass up.
