The tool box makes it impossible to overload my truck, but still a nice load of poles.

Ok, where ya getting it Jaq, out east? That is a small bed, huh? My Screw is pretty small as well and then I have a rollup cover taking even more space in it.

Black 1991 F250 at top of post & White 1997 F350 just above:

Upgraded to a 1997 F350 4x4 with 7.3 Power Stroke. The F250 4x4 was nice but couldn't handle the loads of wood I was hauling. The F350 barely knows it has a load. Same size bed comparing the two with similar loads.

Most of it comes from tree services. Some call and tell me where the job is. Then I drive over and they load the truck. Others, when they have local jobs, just dump the load in my processing area.

When I need more I go to the Smithtown/Huntington Dump on Old Northport Road in Kings Park. This is where the tree services dump what they can't sell or give away. They pay by the pound. The problem there is you have to take what you find. No power equipment allowed. I have some ramps so I can roll some pretty big pieces into the bed. I've never gone there and left with an empty truck...

I have a bed cover for the 5'7" bed but it folds pretty small and easily comes off with two thumb screws. I leave it home when I'm scrounging.

Mine. This was all oak. I don't take many pictures of loads, but I pile it on until I can't fit any more.

I picked this load up near where I work. A tree company dumps it for the taking. Nana is checking it out to make sure it's good.
