Lucky that I havnt heard many coyotes around here. Really only heard them once-and that was eery enough as all that noise was most likely from a kill. Still, I want all the pets in at night-even if the cats have other ideas. I guess that the occasional skunk and raccoon that I have is a good thing in that respect.

Where Teresa lives in Kittery, there is frequent and very close to living area coyote noise. She has found partially eaten deer very close to the property.

I dont hunt, but I have no problem protecting myself, family or pets. There are some things I would shoot on site-coyotes are one of those species.

Quite a few coyotes around here. I call em in in the winter and will shoot any I see while hunting deer and especially turkeys. They have taken many of the neighbors pets and as owners of two small dogs I have fear that they will jump our 4 ft. fence and grab one of our little buddies.

I haven't seen one in two years, sometimes I hear them. I also haven't seen a fox around here the last three years. I have a predator call but haven't been out with it in a couple of years. I think that the big dogs next door have kept them away. The next door dogs currently are guardian types and they at least put up a wall of noise, if I was a 'yote I wouldn't want to find out if they were friendly or not.

I don't think that would be the case, you have the wrong persuasion.

I lucked out, the boss is going to freeze the tomato sauce so I don't have to be a retort operator today and can stay out of the kitchen. Likely next run will go into jars, I hope it is a cool day when that operation takes place.

This week has the heat and humidity coming back-here's to hoping you can hold it off until after that passes. Canning in 85-90 degree humidity does not sound like fun for a bear.

Hoping the heat and humidity passes by the holiday (1) weekend as we are looking to go to the airshow in Brunswick next Saterday or Sunday. Too bad that the air shows have been taken over by a corporate sponsor. They cost alot more $$ now and offer far less than when they are on an active military base.

    (1) Holiday-The day that those of us that still work do not do so.:thumbs: Smokey and Save-this is for you in case Alzheimers has really set in :D

In the 80's we lived in Bedford MA, near Hanscom air force base and the Thunderbirds would come every other year flew right over our house we would sit in the yard and watch for free

At active bases, its still free for gen admission and maybe 10-15 bucks for the reserved seating area. Ive been to quite a few airshows and the reserved seating is well worth a few more dollars to get away from the huge crowds and off your feet now and then. 2 years ago, reserved seating at Brunswick (private airport after de-activation) was 25, now after the corp air show network sponsor took over this year its 30 bucks just for gen admission and 40 for reserved. Flying time always started by 10am and this year it starts at noon-2 hours less activity.

3 years ago, when they flew at Pease in Newington NH, we watched for free from the shore of Great Bay on Saturday and went to the air field for Sunday for paid admission. It really is different being right on the flight line.

Thanks! I really need to leave the camera at home so I can actually see the show !! I end up taking hundreds of pics as it is so east with the digital cameras now-especially when you can hold down the button and take rapid fire pics. I was just going through the folder from that air show and I can almost make a moving video of some of the maneuvers.

In the tight diamond formation, the Blue Angels fly 18" wingtip to cockpit . And this is at the low speed of about 400 MPH

Wonder what they do if they have to cough

All eyes are on the commander in the #1 lead plane. Whatever he does, they do. Talk about nerves of steel !

I will say this. If you like thrills and have never seen the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds from the air show flight line-its a thing for your to do list. Its a long day in the hot sun with a big crowd and traffic-but its worth it.

IF its is gong to be cloudy, they cant do a high level show and its not as much fun to watch. We now wait until a few days before to decide if we are buying tickets or not and try to park offsite and walk in. It might be a 1-2 mile 30-45 minute walk, but for me it beats the traffic. Although at the end of the day-its a loooong walk.

Picked up a ton today. I was told there was a price increase and they are now $234/ton. With the $25 discount they were $209. $209 is the usual street price at the pellet dealers around here for Pro Pellets. If HHO gets to $2/gallon or less, I might not be burning as many pellets this season.

To make things more interesting, the forklift driver got his front tires off the pavement and into the grass when he was trying to get the pallet onto the forks. I unhooked the trailer, got out the tow strap and gave him a yank. Younger guy, so I didn't give him too much chit. :)
